| 195688 | 2003-11-29 03:54:00 | When playing Colin McRae 2 and TOCA2 games (when I most notice the problem) the display seems quite dark compared to my brothers screen. The display looks fine on Browser and Word etc; admittedly the brightness and contrast are turned up a bit. I have a 17" monitor - about 5 years old and GForce2 Titanium graphics card (64Mb) - about 2-3 years old. Running XP with an Anthon 1600+XP CPU and 512mb memory. Is the monitor or the card?? Secondly can you play the above games and similar (newer) with a LCD monitor these days, or am better off with a CRT? |

| 195689 | 2003-11-29 03:59:00 | I had that problem. What I did was change the colour settings on my monitor so that everything was brighter. However, my screen is still failing, and getting darker by the day. And it is only 3 1/2 years old! Your screen may be failing. |

What you can do though, is either change the gamma in the games, or right click on desktop > properties > settings > advanced > Geforce 2 then change the gamma near the bottom, and, slide it up a little bit, untill you are happy. |
