195614 2003-11-28 23:43:00 Try right clicking on My Computer and then click manage. Then click on Disk Management and see if there is a problem mentioned there about the had drive. You may have to reactivate the drive perhaps. I assume you are talking about scandisk or do you mean a virus scan? Odin (227)
195615 2003-11-28 23:47:00 vpothineni,

I assume you are talking about Check Disk (CHKDSK), if so then use the following command from a CMD prompt window (START | RUN type CMD click OK) CHKDSK C: /X /R /F

This will Run CHKDSK on the C: partition and force the volume to be dismounted, and repair any errors after checking. See the help for CHKDSK from the command prompt by typing CHKDSK /?

or maybe even going to My Computer | right-click on the Disk you want | Properties |Tools and then use the "Check Now" option.

Cheers, Babe.
