| 196391 | 2003-12-02 01:10:00 | IS IT WORTH THE PRICE TO GET XP PRO INSTEAD OF HOME FOR PERSONAL USE? | kimchi (3918) | ||
| 196392 | 2003-12-02 01:18:00 | No. Save the difference towards other computer upgrades/updates. | Babe Ruth (416) | ||
| 196393 | 2003-12-02 01:27:00 | People could spend countless hours arguing over this, but Windows XP Home edition will suit most people. The only benefits I can remember from XP Pro are IIS, greater network support/configuration, and a few other things. Taking into consideration the price difference, I wouldn't overly recommend getting the Professional edition unless you can find an Academic version or such. |

| 196395 | 2003-12-02 03:15:00 | XP differences home : cheaper, uses fewer resources, good for non home desktops and all laptops (so you can connect to school/work server. home has trouble with this) pro : better for connecting to server/networking, dual processer support, more like 2k (that can be good or bad ;) ) perfect for office desktops (can be used for home desktops, but wats the point?) and laptops. overall it depends what your use is |
