196253 2003-12-01 23:23:00 After three months of good mags, I sat down to enjoy a good read of the latest edition. A 40 page load of irrelevant drooling about camers. As i've said before the magazine is called PC World. A computer magazine. No a camera magazine. If I want to read about cameras I will look for something called Camera World.
As far as I'm concerned that's the last one I will buy. From here on I will stick with PC Authority.
And before anyone tells me they enjoyed the camera rambling, So What? If you want to read about them get a camera mag.
PC WORLD was once a good computer mag.
Jack.

196254 2003-12-01 23:38:00 No, you let yourself down.

In this age, there is an ever increasing range of equipment you can use with your computer. This includes, and is not restricted to, digital camers, scanners, printers, and digital video cameras.

Now, if you want to hold the standard that a magazine entitled PC World should stick only to computers themselves, and not related hardware, then that's fine. I do remember this issue being raised in a survey-like thread earlier this year.

I don't know how you've managed to ignore the fact that PC Authority also does Labs tests and such on digital cameras and other products which you would find boring, or perhaps you just found that the PC Authority tests couldn't be described as "irrelevant drooling".

I'm sorry for seeming to leap down your throat, but in my opinion you were let down by your own standards.

196255 2003-12-01 23:45:00 Can't think of a suitable in-depth reply that would avoid

a] "drooling"
and
b] "rambling"

two things to which it appears I am prone, so will simply say I'm sorry the digital camera feature wasn't to your taste but as a one-off Christmas-buying-season special we feel it will be of value to many people who continue to express a strong interest in digital cameras. I will now go an seek therapy for my drooling and rambling problem ....

(Bruce hits himself upside head with a lead pipe while chanting "must not drool. Must not ramble. Must not drool. Must not ramble ....)
