| 195934 | 2003-11-30 21:21:00 | Having a battle with Telstra Clear. We were with them a year ago then shifted to a place where they couldn't provide service. They are after me for a disconnection fee for not seeing out the full year of the service contract. My argument is that they were unable to provide service even though I asked them to so it was them who broke the contract, not me. Their current contract says that if either party cancels the contract then the subsciber needs to pay the disconnection fee. The old contract though which was in effect when we were with them only said that if the subsciber cancels the contract before the term expires then they are due to pay the diconnection fee. Of course I can't find my copy of those old conditions now despite having put it somewhere very carefully. Can any long term Telstra Clear customer provide me with the exact wording of that pre May 2003 clause so I can continue my battle? |
