| 196483 | 2003-12-02 08:22:00 | i use tmpeg http://www.pegasys-inc.com/ it's a little unfreindly in parts of the interface but does the job perfectly. took me a while to suss out file sizes etc but have it down pat (get down pat!) now. but read hte help files on this on http://www.dvdhelp.us/ it's not the site I used (can't remember which one that was) but there are certain settings that need to be checked before conversion. |

| 196485 | 2003-12-02 09:04:00 | What be the use? From having highly encoded video to a better quality? No win whatsoever sadly...apart from the way of playing in any DVD player. | peter.jonsson (3024) | ||

| 196487 | 2003-12-02 09:18:00 | You will find the quality suffers a fair bit, mpeg relies on a lot of the info for detail that is lost when the file is encoded into divx. | metla (154) | ||
| 196488 | 2003-12-02 09:31:00 | www.google.com divx-digest.com http://doom9.org I'm sure you can figure it out from there |
