| 196911 | 2003-12-08 01:35:00 | As long as IDG's company policy will allow it, then I support it all the way. Takes the pressure off Bruce and the rest of the mods to patrol these forums. I would immediately recommend Godfater to be one of those "sub-admins". |

| 196913 | 2003-12-08 01:38:00 | I don't think they should be called "sub-admins". In my mind, all that's needed is a few people who, aside from being a normal user, can lock and edit threads. As said, those certain people with over 2000 posts would do nicely. |

| 196915 | 2003-12-08 02:05:00 | Edit; yes, Lock; no. IMO. I think Moderator is the appropriate title for the proposed newly created hierarchy with the current head Honcho's entitled Administrator. That gives a descriptive title to their capacities and responsibilities. I think the choice of who it could be and tenure, should be entirely in the hands of the IDG people with, the chosen ones pressed ganged.. I mean invited to participate with, any refusals resulting in immediate and irrevocable dismissal from the forum, I can see the modesty of some esteemed members preventing them from accepting invites unless a little arm twisting is applied ;) If we can get this rapped up before said beneficiaries are aware of their elevation all the better. So, I concur with Goddie for a start (totally ignoring own advice in 3rd paragraph :D ) plus Susan B, Jen C and Terry Porritt. Billy T IMHO would also be an excellent choice, if only to keep him on the straight and narrow and save the rest of us from some of his more extreme excesses. Cheers Murray P |
