| 196800 | 2003-12-03 04:44:00 | It seems that CPU's have what is known as a stepping code on them. Anyone know what it is about, how do you use the infomation contained in the code etc? |

They can indicate what known bugs a CPU has. :D Try google "Intel stepping" will find you a table probvably. There are some books by Scott Muellr in an "upgrading and repairing ..." series and I know one of them has lists for steppings for most of the manuifacturers. Look in your local library. |
