196647 2003-12-02 11:57:00 Hi all, is there any keen outlook users out there, my question is why does it take up to 15 minutes to sent and receive mail?? Operating system XP.
Cheers Jon

196648 2003-12-02 12:08:00 15 minutes for a single txt message sounds odd...never seen such a delay in a program.

You arent using HTML mail, that sometimes locks up the machine?

196649 2003-12-02 13:12:00 Have you run Office Update?

There may be a patch to fix it....

196650 2003-12-02 17:27:00 I had similar problem with Outlook (although not 15 minutes) plus other strange things as well. Emails would take forever to send. I thought that the problem was with NAV which was scanning in and out mail. But disabling made no difference.
In the end I simply went to >Help | Detect & Repair (Outlook XP) and that fixed it.

196651 2003-12-03 08:05:00 How many emails are you sending/receiving on average? What kind of internet connection do you have? Are you sending/receiving through the ISP you are connected to? Do you have a firewall running? If so, which one? Are you connected directly to the internet, or through a network?

Mike.
