| 196547 | 2003-12-02 09:11:00 | Hi Team I have Kodak CX4230 camera and battery life is not too hot. The worst thing about it is that lithium batteries drop dead suddenly, so unless you carry a spare, you are easily caught out. Fresh alkalines will work for 10-20 shots then the camera shuts down. It can't handle any drop in terminal voltage! Problem is, the lithiums cost an arm and a leg so I'm looking for a more economic source than camera shops or DSE. Any suggestions? Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 196548 | 2003-12-02 09:52:00 | Hi Billy, Have you considered NiMH AA's ? I'm getting very good battery life with these in the digi cameras. Especially using the 'Powerex' AA's, now available up to 2200mAh, together with the Maha charger, which charges 2 or 4 AA's in 3 hours. Cheers. |

Prices are: Trade-Tech $61.36 :_| Tesa $46.67 :O DSE $28.90 :) USA (Typ) NZ$12.00 :^O Couldn't find them in Farnell's or RS Components catalogues, which is probably just as well as their prices give me a serious dose of the ta ta's every time I read them. I guess the DSE price is not so bad after all, but I went and bought a Kodak docking station on special for $130 (Trade price $129.99, no kidding) which included a niMH rechargeable which should last a reasonable time. It only has to outlast 5 lithiums, after which I'm making on the deal, and I'm already on my fourth lithium since June so the next five would have gone through by March. Cheers Billy 8-{) :| |

| 196551 | 2003-12-09 21:53:00 | Oops :8} Forgot to point out: Retail was $130, Trade was $129.99, a discount of 1 cent. Rounded up because we don't use 1c & 2c pieces any more, Trade and Retail were the same. Talk about a Jesse James discount! Not like DSE at all. Cheers Billy 8-{) :( |

| 196552 | 2003-12-09 22:53:00 | You need to talk them into using a different rounding method then. With rounding down and purchasing each battery individually you'd end up saving quite a bit ;) I've actually seen people do this. |

When buying 10+ you can expect savings of greater than 4 cents per unit, so always ask for the 10+ price . I buy a lot of batteries and I never buy fewer than 10 (except for CRV3s!!!!)
