196947 2003-12-04 09:42:00 Well I may as well throw my hat in the ring .

I'm in Tokoroa and am prepared to travel generally in the South Waikato and have an initial consultation for which I don't charge . I build computers to spec after finding what the Customer wants .

This is an art in itself .

Conversation:-
Q: " What do you want to do with this new computer? "
A: " Well I want to get onto the Internet and get Emails and want to write letters . "

Hmmmmm . A pentium 100 will do this .

Q: " Are you planning on getting a scanner or digital camera? "
A: " Maybe . "

Hmmmmmm . Maybe need more than a pentium 100 .

Q: " Do you need to entertain your Grandchildren with the computer . "
A: " Well I guess they might use it . "

Errkkkkk . . . . . . Need heaps more . Start with a $950 graphic card .

I don't stock parts but buy as and when I need them .

For the last six years I have resided at the same address and computers I have built reside as far north as Auckland and as far south as Ashburton in the South Island .

I handle all warranty issues myself but will only buy parts from brand names I trust .

I still suggest you buy locally from a firm who has been in business for more than a few months .

Try joining your local PC User Group for advice as to who is good and reliable in your area .

When I put a PC together I don't WANT warranty issues .

Therefore I try to do it the correct way first time .

196948 2003-12-04 09:45:00 Be nice to keep this thread as a list of users who provide PC services, rather than an ego tripping advert Greg S (201)

196950 2003-12-04 10:01:00 What do you mean by "an ego tripping advert?"

I provide PC services as do others who have posted in this thread.

196951 2003-12-04 10:05:00 > What do you mean

I can't understand your difficulty. Your post's size compared to all the others and how wonderfully you tout yourself in it speaks for itself.
