197675 2003-12-06 22:28:00 I used the Mandrake partition manager during it's setup to partitions on my second HDD, which also had a FAT32 partition on it. No problems there, even all three times I installed Mandrake.

But I disgress the comments people say about Knoppix. Personally, I haven't got it to run at al on three separate computers. Possibly it's the CD, but it doesn't complain about checksums etc.

Furthermore, the other day I tried running Knoppix on a computer with no HDD in it. It froze at detecting HDDs after it couldn't find any. Which I would assume means it needs an HDD for some reason. Anyone mind explaining why this is so?

197676 2003-12-06 23:15:00 Worked fine for me on a P233 I built with 128MB RAM and no HDD... (That was on the way..)

Could be a dodgy burn, it never complained for me when my disc was failing?

197678 2003-12-07 02:51:00 I can't remember what program I used to burn the CD image, but it could've been Alcohol.

IIRC, it was an image of the Yoper Disc 2/Knoppix combo CD that Cyberchuck made from your CD, Chill.

197680 2003-12-07 06:08:00 I know nothing about it, but I believe it was a custom disc or something like that. Knoppix is located in a subfolder, I think. agent (30)
197681 2003-12-07 06:18:00 Take a look here: ftp://nz1.yoper.com/pub/yoper/

Yoper desktop (ydesktop) is one ISO image, and the ISO labelled ycd2 is the second CD. It is this CD that contains Knoppix plus some other files.
