197469 2003-12-06 10:16:00 I bought the DSE package this week, and have installed it on my notebook without hassles. Wonderful!!
I will be able to use it when I am in inner Auckland, but will have to wait a couple of months before I can install it on the PC at home (currently not in the service area).
As far as the modem is concerned - it is a US product, and I would hope that it could be used for any other wireless provider operating in the same frequency range. Does anyone know for sure?

The reason for that is I brought my modem from Tech Pacific who sell the modems for $164+TAX, whereas the price you got is from a reseller who most likely buys from TP (I belive ingram micro also sell them, but I don't have an account with them).

Well the modem will connect to any IPWireless proprietary network, I belive Walker Wireless (Woosh) hold the only license for that frequency in NZ, but there are other companies worldwide using the same Technology, (you should be able to use your woosh modem next time you go on holiday to South Africa for example).

But is all else fails you have a very shiny paperweight:D
