2003-12-07 16:36:00 | Where do they come from and how do I use them? | JJJJJ (528) | |
2003-12-07 16:53:00 | Click on Post New Topic at the top of this page. Scroll down past Category & Subject. Click on Emoticons (n not m) above Message. Take your pick...

2003-12-07 17:18:00 | Also I forgot - Using Emoticons is the last topic in the Help...top of this page. | Laura (43) | |
2003-12-07 17:21:00 | Yes, but the silly thing won't stay in my posting. I drag it in and it jumps into temp files. | JJJJJ (528) | |
2003-12-07 17:30:00 | Oh dear ...Well, I guess it's confession time that I haven't actually tried them myself since I joined 2 months ago. Was just going by the info on the page. Obviously you need one of those experts who scatter them with gay abandon in posts. Wait for a better reply & we'll both learn...

2003-12-07 18:07:00 | Got to love those cute emoticons :D To get them into your post, click on the Emoticons link right above your text reply box, then highlight the characters under the ASCII column and copy and paste it into your reply. They will still appear as colons, curvey brackets etc at this stage, but if you use the preview button you will see them in all their glory (if correctly copied and pasted) :p. You can also just type in the characters yourself eg : D will give you :D (I left an extra space in the : D to stop it turning into a emoticon. Have fun :)

2003-12-07 18:51:00 | But why don't they publish proper instructions. I was typing them in and they didn't change. Dragging and dropping didn't work. X-( X-( X-(
