| 197954 | 2003-12-06 17:36:00 | Friend has recently upgraded to Jetstream Starter. He can surf the net and email no problem. Prior to this he could play Medal of Honor on dial up no problem. Since changing over to ADSL he can no longer connect. The game just times out. He uses the inbuilt browser on MOHAA and nothing comes up. He also has the IP addresses which he used to type in on dialup to connect but that just times out as well. I know that there is a patch available which I have instructed him to instal (haven't heard back whether that has worked) but if he could last week connect via dial up and now he cannot via adsl I am not putting too much hope in the patch making a difference. I remember a while back after I reinstalled XP on mine I remember something strange happening when I wanted to connect to MOHAA online game browser. The first time I did it there were zero game sites that came up. I thought something was wrong with my connection and lots of investigating revealed nothing. But each time I went into MOHAA online browser (over several days) then the game sites eventually and gradually all came back??? I never worried about it then but is this possibly the same thing that is happening with my friends. (we live cities apart so cant visit to see) I now use All seeing eye which I might suggest he uses instead. Any ideas about this. Also, does anyone have a quick and simple explanation as to how he can sign in to jetstreamgames on his modem. He is not sure where the 'sign in' part is for that modem. I was told that 192.168.1.1 is needed in the browser but what does he do after that. It is a wireless modem/router but there is only one computer connected at this point. sam m |

Enter into the browser 192.168.1.1 (suggest that he add this url to his favourites to save remembering next time) The control panel opens up with Quick Start. From here: 1. Under Action, click Disconnect 2. Enter username and password - default is admin and admin 3. Click the disconnect button. 4. Back at Quick Start and under Action again, click Connect this time 5. Enter username using the jetstream login format and password. 6. Click Connect. Your friend will need to do this again when he has finished on Jetstreamgames to change his login back to the ISP details. |

| 197956 | 2003-12-06 21:43:00 | I think MOHAA requires a number of ports to operate over. On dialup, these ports are all open; on a router they should be closed by default. Your friend will have to acertain what ports are required and open them via the router admin. | wuppo (41) | ||
