197906 2003-12-06 08:12:00 When you click on Eudora's reply button, how do you prevent the incoming message being added to the end of your reply. teakonga (3257)
197907 2003-12-06 08:51:00 depending on the version of eudora...........

197908 2003-12-06 21:02:00 Robsonde, thanks for the reply.
My version of eudora is 6.0.1.1. In the tool/options/reply dialogue I have put a tick in the box for "Quote only the selected text" Unfortunately the original message is still repeated. Could there be something else I've not done.

197909 2003-12-06 22:05:00 The default is that it repeats all the text.

The option is to only repeat the selected text. Using this option and not selecting any text, gives the default option above.

Selecting (highlighting) a blank space works fine.

Highlighting a blank space sounds good to me. I'll give it a try on my next reply.

Thanks a lot.

197912 2003-12-08 08:46:00 Hi again
I am sorry but I have had no luck highlighting a blank space - I keep getting a highlighted blank line and the system still won't work. I've tried several things without success.
It might be quicker for me to use "edit/select all" then "edit/cut" or start a new message.

197913 2003-12-08 09:26:00 Just tried it again, on yet another system.

It works fine, you may have to have a line return in the highlighted area though. Thats the finish of a line and the space on the next line.

I simply cut it however, its just as quick.

I find its appropriate to leave some bits in at times, there is no set rule for me.

I like the bar it uses, instead of the > symbols.
