| 198189 | 2003-12-07 20:05:00 | Could someone let me know if it is OK to safely delete the uninstalls for the security patches,seeing that the patches are permanent?I run XPhome,and it seems to me that these uninstalls take up a bit of space that could be used for more important things. Thanks |

| 198190 | 2003-12-07 20:47:00 | This is a puzzle to me . I can't see why a security patch would have an uninstall . Oh in case it didn't work i guess and you wanted to do it again . OK . But I can't imagine they take up much space at all . I used to worry about my HD getting filled up with anti virus signatures, but these files are of negligible size . Better off getting some space by biffing stuff you never use . |

That is Not a good idea as far as I am aware, once you have the patches installed then the patch is doing it's job, but if you remove the patch then it is not doing it job any more, so that is why you have to keep them on your computer.
