198493 2003-12-08 12:09:00 I find it ironic that Linkz.com uses a popup advert to advertise their AdBlock program. I wouldn't have touched it with a forty foot barge pole anyway because they had absolutely no contact details on their site. You could only contact them through a form and I did and told them exactly what I thought of them. They wanted a name and email addy so I gave them Joe Stalin and a fictitious email addy. Anyone interested go here (http://www.globalxplorer.com) and the popup will appear. mikebartnz (21)
198494 2003-12-08 12:55:00 Mike, I had a look & this is the perfect example of a site that'll hijack whatever it can.
Did you read its Terms & Conditions?
I'm paraphrasing here, as it's all long-winded, but basically you'd be agreeing to the fact that every time you type an incorrect URL or get a browser error page, you can be "redirected" to another search page or "web sites operated by other parties" (for whose content they are not responsible....of course)
And you'd have agreed to that by downloading.
To top it off, a pop-up asked if I wanted to change my Home Page to something I didn't read because I was exiting so fast.
Defintely one to steer clear of. Don't hold your breath about getting a reply...

Don't expect one as I gave a fictitious email addy. They weren't going to get anything personal out of me as I didn't trust them. No I didn't even bother to read their terms.

I use NS7.2 and Mozilla but don't go to many sites with popups so have not disabled them as occassionaly they can be useful.
