198312	2003-12-08 03:19:00	I've had a quick look around, but haven't had any luck so far. Does anyone know where (or if) I can find a converter for AMD socket a to slot a cpu's? I know they made them for the Slot 1 celerons. I want to squeeze some more life out of my computer, and it's pretty hard to find a slot a processor, so I thought maybe someone knew of a converter that would let me use a socket a cpu instead... 198313	2003-12-08 03:29:00	Sorry you're out of luck. AMD did make some for a specific processor (revision) when they went back to sockets but they were never released. It was puit in the too hard basket by the sound of it. Cheers Murray P	Murray P (44)

If anyone else was interested, the article (www.plasma-online.de) said that some earlier K7 amd processors were repackaged socket a's, and implied that they could be opened and upgraded.
