198230 2003-12-07 21:42:00 Tried to purchase music software from three different companies in Germany, Native-Instruments, Ableton, etc and VISA rejected every time, apparently we have too many fraudsters in New Zealand so they just reject anything from here.
Any one else with the same problem?

198231 2003-12-09 06:11:00 I haven't heard of anyone having their NZ VISA cards rejected on overseas sites. Has the same credit card details worked on other overseas sites before? Did it actually say the card was not valid because of your home location, or was there some other error message?

I noticed that Native-Instruments (http://www.native-instruments.com/) has a dot com site. Did you try that url instead of the dot de site?

198232 2003-12-09 06:38:00 You can strike problems with overseas merchants, but Ive only heard of this for US sites not for Europe. Unless they have changed recently an example is Amazon.com - try buying electrical goods from them.

In some cases the merchant requires that:-

1) The card was issued in their country (or perhaps an EEC member in the case of Germany)
2) The postal address meets the same country/area criteria

Im not sure when NZ Banks are going to introduce 3D Secure but this should hopefully reduce the instances of being rejected.
