| 198891 | 2003-12-09 20:37:00 | Win XP Pro. When I go to start, shut down, it restarts, and says that my computer has recovered from a serious error, possibly caused by a device driver. I am pretty sure it is NOD32, because I just did a program component update, and then this happened. I dont have a clue how I can uninstall the update, and I don't want to uninstall the whole program, because then im not protected against viruses. But maybe it is not NOD32? I thought I had heard someone else with a problem like this, is there a patch for XP or something? Thanks |

| 198893 | 2003-12-09 20:57:00 | Have a look on the Nod32 site and see if the problem has arisen before. Email them, they may have an answer. I don't have XP but, there should be an error log somewhere, try Control Panel > Computer Management > Event Viewer and look at the listings in the right window pane (assuming its similar to win2k), Application, Security and System. Does alert mention any particular driver or any details at all. Cheers Murray P |

| 198894 | 2003-12-11 01:12:00 | I have win XP, and i no that until u find a fix, try putting it in hibernate (press h at the shutdown screen, or press shift and standby will turn into hibernate) however firstyou will need to go to control panel (classic mode) , power settings, hibernate, and make sure hibernate is enabled. a word of warning though, hibernate can do funny things to your hardware, but personally i dont find this. | Megaman (344) | ||

| 198896 | 2003-12-11 05:00:00 | theres a function in xp that will automatically restart the puter if it shuts down wrong etc etc.........check this out control panel/system/advanced/startup and recovery/settings look for the tick box that says 'system failure - automaticaly restart' and UNtick it.................. |

| 198898 | 2003-12-11 06:33:00 | MeJoeBloggs: You're not alone then. Ive stuck with the 44.03 Driver set on all PC's at Work. If you dont want to download the 16 odd MB driver set, goto WindowsUpdate.com and get the latest WHQL ones. I'd recommend the 44.03 set though :-) |
