198815 2003-12-09 16:24:00 Sometimes when i received emails from hotmail the email which i opened is completely blank.I get the email but when I open it its blank. When I click on properties its only about 984 bytes.MY friend of course did type something in the email.Often 1/4 page.Sometimes half a page. But lately some emails that i receive from people at hotmail.Once i download from paradise and open it.The emails are blank.Contains nothing inside.
Whats going on?
Im using outlook express.Running win98se

198817 2003-12-09 18:37:00 Funny coincidence time - in the last 24 hours I have received two blank emails from a hotmail user - is something going on at hotmail? My IE6 is right up to date, using Outlook 2000 and Windows XP. tbacon_nz (865)

198819 2003-12-09 19:12:00 I know several people that this has happened to and would also be interested in any information about this problem.

Have not been able to establish if the message is being stripped by the Hotmail server or by the ISP server.
The message is just typed in plain txt but when received it is completely missing, the only thing showing is the MSN promo at the bottom.

I can send from my hotmail account through the same ISP as the person having the problem and the message is intact so the problem seems to only happen to some people and is not ISP related.

198820 2003-12-09 19:16:00 It might be useful if someone can establish if the message is being sent from Hotmail website or from Outlook Express. Jim B (153)
198821 2003-12-09 19:31:00 This is the header info in one of the blanks I received - does that tell anybody anything? (actual email addresses changed to protect the innocent) :)

198823 2003-12-09 21:54:00 The originating IP address is the IP address of the browser that was in use when the mail was sent from the Hotmail website and in this case the person has Clear as their ISP so it does not help.

The message is obviously coming from a Hotmail account but who or what is stripping the text from the message body.

198824 2003-12-10 03:47:00 I just got another email from the same source - NOT blank this time, but format is HTML rather than plain text. So what does that tell us? ?:| tbacon_nz (865)
