| 198807 | 2003-12-11 23:03:00 | It is rather strange that you cannot create any new folders within the Address Book . All I can suggest is that you backup your . wab file which is the address book and do a repair of Outlook Express . You could also have a browse of this site ( . atomz . com/search/?sp-k=&sp-q=address+book&sp-a=sp022c5400&sp-p=any&sp-f=Windows-1252" target="_blank">search . atomz . com) to see if there is anything that could help . This page ( . mindspring . com/~oe_oh/user_profiles . htm" target="_blank">www . mindspring . com) may also be of some help . |

| 198808 | 2003-12-11 23:14:00 | Thanks everyone for your help - I HAVE FIXED IT!!!!!!!! I used to use Outlook (office 2000) for a short while & then switched to using Outlook Express. On investigating how to backup folders & addressbook properly (just in case i hadn't been doing it properly & I was planning to purge everything) I discovered that the Express WAB file is shared with Outlook & that the addresses are actually stored in a PST file. I deleted this & reopened outlook express & yeehaaa there were my identity folders & the ability to create new folders! |
