| 1352084 | 2013-08-26 03:51:00 | We have an Acer Aspire 5520 running Win 7. I want to alter the boot sequence in the Bios but do not get an option at start up time. On our other Acer Aspire 5520 running Vista, there is an F2 option to bring the Bios up. I have tried F2 and Esc but Win 7 boots straight up. Any suggestion how to get to the bios to make the change please? | Swampy (2426) | ||

| 1352086 | 2013-08-26 05:08:00 | If your older 5520 is F2, then the new one is probably the same......but could be del, esc, F11, F8, F10 ,F1 Some machines are rather finnicy to get into the bios. Turn it completely off, turn on & just keep tapping the F2 (or whatever) key , it make take 4 or 5 attempts Just why the bios entry key (& boot order/select key, recocovery F key) hasnt been standardized is beyond me. |

Press m to enter setup. The default parameter of F12 Boot Menu is set to “disabled”. If you want to change boot device without entering BIOS Setup Utility, please set the parameter to “enabled”. Press <F12> during POST to enter multi-boot menu. In this menu, user can change boot device without entering BIOS SETUP Utility.
