1329766 2013-02-24 21:24:00 This years census has got my back up . . . .

Take a look at the dwelling form and question 18 asks how many motor vehicles (EXCLUDING MOTORBIKES) available for use . Well that would be NONE - I ride a motorbike .

Why purposefully exclude a particular method of transport from the question?

Not only do I have to pay higher ACC levies (because the majority of car drivers are blind and cant drive and keep hitting us - I pay more for their lack of driving skills . ) but I use less fuel, take up less space and get everywhere twice as quickly as anyone in a car .

Oh and last time I checked it both has a MOTOR and is a VEHICLE while being my MAIN and ONLY form of transport .

So what is the point of the question? Especially since they can just have a quick chat with LTSA and get all the information they need anyway?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The last census did not give people the option of choosing 'motorbike' for their method of transport to work and many bikers I know put down 'motorbike' anyway (invalidating their form) and then they did not sign the form . Well it says sign if true and correct . . . . . if the option does not exist you cant sign it . . .

Now there are MANY more examples of people stuffing up their forms either because they are forced to (see above) or intentionally because they dislike doing them (think of the nutcase conspiracy theorists!) .

So does anyone PLAN to invalidate their form or think they will be FORCED to invalidate their form?

1329767 2013-02-24 21:39:00 Probably because motorbikes don't make much difference when planning roads as they're narrow enough to just go around jams. pcuser42 (130)
1329768 2013-02-24 21:43:00 Except cruiser type bikes - they are generally too wide to lane split through traffic. Disco_Dan (16576)
