1329705 2013-02-24 19:28:00 Hi all,

Have any of you ever owned or use one? I was looking at buying one and wondering weather the size is resonable or just to large to fit in a pocket and how you feel about the phone in terms of speed and features. I have heard it doesnt feel to big because it us quite slim.

Thanks.

1329707 2013-02-24 20:08:00 It's a great phone, especially if you like to sketch things, my singer uses it a lot for logo ideas and graphic ideas, haven't heard complaints, the screen is like a notebook so the size would be the samish rob_on_guitar (4196)
1329708 2013-02-24 20:29:00 I thought my S3 was going to be too big but it really isn't, and sitting it side by side with a friends note 2 I wish I'd bought one of those instead.
Mainly I think it depends on how much browsing etc you will do on it because the larger screen is really nice for such things but doesn't help at all when using it as a phone.

It depends a bit also on how you carry your phone around. Mine tends to go in my front Jeans pocket and it fits there no problem but then I'm a big guy and my pockets have a bit of room in them. Like Nick suggested go and have a look at one, see if they'll let you try it in a pocket...

You can rest assure that this is a very powerful smartphone (relatively speaking). Having said so, if Note II is too wide / big for you, Samsung Galaxy S IV is a worthy consideration (octa-core c.f. quad-core in most high-end smartphones), which will be released in a few weeks' time.

1329710 2013-02-24 23:07:00 Loved my Galaxy Note and now love my Note2 even more. Even though the Note 2 has a bigger screen (5.5" vs 5"), it is actually much easier to hold than the Galaxy Note. Lots of friends and family have bought one after seeing mine.

Making calls is only about 1% of the usage on my Note 2; 99% of the time, I am Browsing, TXT'ing, WhatsApping, Skyping etc, which means I am using the absolutely gorgeous screen to the max. I will not trade it for anything with a smaller screen, even the Galaxy S3 seems too small now. I carry my Note2 in my pocket all the time, along with another phone and keys in my other pocket etc. Unless I am wearing tight fitting pants, I have no problem having it in my pocket even when I'm driving etc.

It is very light compare to even my Galaxy Tab 7.7 (which also has a gorgeous screen). I hardly even use the Tab now, spent hours browsing on my Note2 and it is always with me, whether at home or when I am out and about. Text is extremely crisp and clear, even though it has a smaller screen than the Tab 7.7, it is much easier to read; probably because the Tab defaults to Tablet mode and text appears smaller.

Specs wise, it is probably the top phone out there, it runs smooth as and with 2GB of RAM, I have 40+ browser windows opened constantly between the 3 browsers (Stock, Chrome and Dolphin JetPack). The camera takes amazing pictures with Panorama and HDR built-in with JellyBean 4.1.2, I hardly even use my compact camera anymore. The S-pen is very handy with jotting notes with pop-up window etc while I am talking on the phone, also great for sketch and capture/cropping irregular (free form) shaped objects. Look up Galaxy Note2 Tips on YouTube, you will be amazed at how versatile it is, no other phone can do all it can do, also see a video showing how you can use it with the SmartDock as a PC connected to a big TV.

1329711 2013-02-25 02:57:00 Thanks for all your replys. Looks like i will be getting the note 2. Sadly i dont seem to have many Phone stores near so i cant try one out but according to all the comments it doesnt seem like the size is a problem. stratex5 (16685)
1329712 2013-02-25 04:54:00 Take a look at the Nexus 4 - I just got one and am so stoked! Just cannot get this thing to slow down / lag at all. The best thing was the price! For $450 you just can't beat it. Also the Galaxy S4 will be coming out soon as Renmoo said, so maybe that'll be a good option also. sahilcc7 (15483)
