2013-02-21 03:58:00 | I was starting to get annoyed with this forum and its long load times. Found an ad blocker for IE10 and now the forum loads almost instantly. :)

2013-02-21 07:36:00 | I use ad blocker plus on Firefox. The most awesome thing I found out about recently, is that it even blocks the ads on Jango radio that play between every third or so song.

2013-02-21 18:51:00 | If everyone in the world used Adblockers who is going to pay for all the content on thew web ? The problem is that webmasters and the advertisers load us upwith too many big and slow ads. How is PC World going to run this site ?

2013-02-21 20:52:00 | How does viewing an ad pay for anything? Only works if you then click it and buy something. As I'm not, why read it? It depends on how the ad revenue is acquired. CPC (cost per click) charges an advertiser for everytime someone clicks on the ad. CPM, on the other hand, charges per view/impression.

We've tried to balance rapid load times for you, and providing advertising that pays the bills. If you're experiencing slowdowns, do let me know, and let me know your system, browser and such so that we can then cross-check here. |
