1328653 2013-02-19 03:09:00 The screenshot says nearly all. I want to download some software from the US. (My .com address wasn't enough.) I feel sure there must be some discussion in this forum but what do I search on? BBCmicro (15761)
1328654 2013-02-19 03:13:00 Try searching for Amazon the_bogan (9949)
1328655 2013-02-19 03:21:00 I think you are being optimistic in this case. It's for an Adobe product BBCmicro (15761)

Yep, doh... for some reason I was thinking of getting around the shipping restrictions.

1328657 2013-02-19 03:42:00 You can get around the restrictions. Login via a VPN (such as cyberghost) and use a service like YouShop to send to a US residential address. You'd have to buy boxed, and it may still ask for a US credit card, which would stymie things. It's not illegal to do so and NZ doesn't consider region blocking (which this is, essentially) to be binding on Kiwis.

1328659 2013-02-19 03:49:00 You can search within press f1 using your search terms within Google - a Google site specific search - like this. (www.google.co.nz 6.2-13.13.0.les%3B..0.0...1c.1.3.psy-ab.Ioz0bhQW3yw&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&bvm=bv.42553238,d.dGY&fp=25f2f12806e60f85&biw=1024&bih=513) kahawai chaser (3545)

The problem with that is that now this thread is first on the list.

1328661 2013-02-19 05:07:00 Can time stamp most Google searches with date operators in your query. But the easy way, is under search tools to select date or create custom dates. kahawai chaser (3545)
1328662 2013-02-19 05:22:00 The screenshot says nearly all. I want to download some software from the US. (My .com address wasn't enough.) I feel sure there must be some discussion in this forum but what do I search on?I think people have interpreted this question in a variety of ways. You need a minimum of 5 characters in a word when using the PF1 search function. Obviously USA etc is under 5 chars. Kahawai chaser has provided the only useful way of doing this.

We used to be able to add * wildcards to words that allowed you to pad the word out to 5 chars - unfortunately this doesn't work any more.
