Its not just an Aussie manufacturing downturn its actually a rout Their high wages are just killing their manufacturing sector. Eg to sell their Holdens to the USA they are subsidizing each car by 10,000 dollars I think the only cars they have tried to sell to the US recently are Chevy police cars to the LAPD. Don't know if they succeeded or not. However they do subsidize each Ozz domestic cars to the tune of $1500 |
