2013-08-25 22:29:00 | I had a 60gb SSD for my C drive at one stage, it was fast but it filled up so quickly. | Slankydudl (16687) | |
2013-08-26 06:27:00 | What graphics card would you all recommend for my budget? Don't really mind if games don't run with full ultra graphics and stuff coz I'm definitely not a huge gamer... I will definitely find out what brand the PSU/HDD/SSD's are. And probably get a 120gb or more SSD. Do you think I'm being realistic getting a Haswell i5, 128/256gb SSD, 8GB RAM, Full HD monitor, 'Branded' PSU, 500gb HDD, Graphics Card for my budget of $1100? Or am I pushing it a bit? I don't mind buying from different places to put the price down.

2013-08-26 06:30:00 | Well any gpu will work with most builds..... what is your budget for a gpu? | Slankydudl (16687) | |
2013-08-26 06:38:00 | Probably $150-$200 if I can find other parts cheaper. | sahilcc7 (15483) | |
2013-08-26 06:39:00 | A larger SSD will cost you plenty, so the price of $1100 WILL be pushing it if impossible. You would be better off forgetting about the SSD and putting the money towards a Graphic Card. Really rough figures, depending on brands, a 128GB SSD + will be around $200, with 250GB $300.00 +. So with the 250GB thats around 1/4 + of your budget on the SSD alone.

2013-08-26 06:44:00 | Alright, I'll probably get the SSD later then. | sahilcc7 (15483) | |
2013-08-26 07:39:00 | SSD's aren't necessary.... just nice. I would suggest an amd 7770 for your gpu imho amd is better for low price gpu's atm

But a monitor and OS will probably go a bit out of the budget. Has anyone ever bought from this site : http://alphacity.co.nz/ ?
