| 1329010 | 2013-02-23 01:32:00 | <snip> Theres already been quite a few people not here like there usd to be, and its not to hard to figure out why. ;) I think that may be a case of unwarranted inference and trying to support a personal view by facts not in evidence - there's no proof (and can't be any, unless those that have left come back and say why)... There could be a multitude of reasons some "older" members are no longer here: death, illness, change of personal circumstances - and many more possibilities... Just sayin'... :) |

| 1329012 | 2013-02-23 01:57:00 | I'm not sure why people presume a banning would occur for a single offense either? We've never given anybody a banning on their first offense for anything, be it temporary or permanent. | Chilling_Silence (9) | ||
| 1329013 | 2013-02-23 02:11:00 | You think the Communications (New Media) Bill is going to fall into a big black hole when the Hon Judith Collins has asked this bill to be fast tracked? I don't know the date when it is going to be finalised, but some media including Stuff . co . nz have already acted on the pending bill . It is better to have some guidelines in place and not wait until it is finalised . You don't expect members to suddenly change their behaviour on that day without any warning or lead up? You clearly demonstrate this would be an impossible task . I imagine there will be some fine tuning of the bill and how it is monitored/enforced, but the principles will remain the same . Oh dear, I didnt think I would have to do this but HERE ( . parliament . nz/en-NZ/AboutParl/HowPWorks/FactSheets/6/1/5/00HOOOCPubResAboutFactSheetsProcess1-Parliament-Brief-The-legislative . htm#_Toc143945576" target="_blank">www . parliament . nz) is the procedure that must be followed before a Bill can become Law . Note under Introduction where it says quite clearly: A bill has no formal existence until it is introduced into the House . So you see it is pointless treating a bill as law until it is passed into law . Unfortunately, you Moderators tried to hoodwink the members of this forum that it was already law and have come unstuck, so now its onto damage control to try and save some credibility . And as you have posted the principles of the bill, you might be good enough to explain which principle I have violated had it been law . Whilst it is all very noble of you to try and defend Zara, there comes a time when your own creditability goes on the line as has happened here . |

It is a privately owned forum that people can join if they wish after agreeing to whatever rules the owners see fit. If they wish to proceed with the bills intent ahead of it being passed into law, they can. Other media sites have already done this. It is not a conspiracy just for you. I noticed you made no public comment about the suggestion on having less threads created ... just more about obsessing about Zara and what defines a law. Same old, same old. |

Well of course I realise Fairfax own the Forum, after all Ive been telling you that for ages. But the Moderators on this site have been misrepresenting the bill as law to try and support closing down free speech to appease their own agenda or something. What youve chosen to overlook again and again, is the fact that the posts you find offensive refer to what Fairfax have already published, so I guess it is not unreasonable to assume they have passed scrutiny before they were published. |

The way youre going there wont be any threads to worry about. Frankly, the Site doesnt need fixing other than the new communistic Moderation process removed. Simple as that. |
