| 199763 | 2003-12-12 06:41:00 | Does anyone know of a way to change the licence key for widows 2000? My work has changes licenced to a MSDN subscription and I'd rather change my key than reinstall. M$ has a tool for doing it in winXP and win98 was easy and right there in regedit. |

There's a magic reg-key you have to modify so its all screwed up From there, you can run a file in C:\Windows\System32\oobe\ I cannot remember the exact filename, but its in there and very straight-forward. Takes about 2 mins to change the key and if you're still interested then I'll find out the filename and exactly how to do it :-) Please note that this IS a legitimate utility that Microsoft have included in with XP for this very purpose! Chill. |
