199761 2003-12-12 05:21:00 DSE have one at an amazing price. (XH8150, $45)

Work well, I have USB 2 on the motherboard and it uses 2 ports.
It gives back one socket on the front panel though.

Works well, supports hot swapping of memory cards, and best of all uses a spare 3.5" bay, many PCs have one available (but usually well hidden, below the FDD)

199762 2003-12-12 09:16:00 I also have the same internal card reader as godfather - USB 2.0 Embedded Apacer 7-in-1 Card Reader. It is great :D

My mobo supports USB 2 so I can take advantage of the speed, however it is backward compatible with USB 1.0. You will also need a spare 3.5" bay on the PC.

After installing it, four extra drives appear under "My Computer" as Devices with Removable Storage. Each of these devices are for the card type slots on the reader. The device as godfather mentions, also has a front USB port built in which can be quite handy.

PS* thanks for the tip on the Card Reader last month godfather - quite a bargin :)
