Excellent! For convenience we could also use your place for the theatre. You could make a killing charging spectators $20 a head. :D

> Honey anyone?
Yes please, lots. :-)

> Now why does that remind me of a fad not too long ago where one covered themselves in oil and lay out in the sun for hours on end, attempting to gain a suntan by crisping the skin like a freshly-fried rasher of bacon?
<cringe>
Yes, and some of the young ones still think it is a good way to "get a tan" these days too. :O

> Susan, I trust that spreading threads past the limit of ones screen does not fall under despicable acts Close granted.
It is close, Murray, but you will be spared because I never sting the hand that feeds me - your record of providing much humour and entertainment here has saved your skin. ;-)

> Do you want me to do some lines, here?
Naw, just make a beeline for that corner over there and stand facing the wall for half an hour. :D

> the very least they should get is punishment copied from the efforts of the worker bees, like hard labour for the rest of their life.

Amen.

199744 2003-12-13 00:47:00 We still have the bees, the cats have failed miserably trying to muster them into a box . It's hard to get good help .

How much per kg would I get for the bees? .

If they all flew within a closed box when I was weighing it, would it affect the weight? (yes, I know the answer) .

Can I nominate the people to be staked out and covered with honey?

Bee's in flight in a enclosed container will have their weight register on a scale, so it doesn't matter if they are landed or flying :D. At least so says Newton :p

Feel free :D

Good idea. How about a poll? :-)

199747 2003-12-13 01:11:00 I see Godfather has put some worms into the paper bagfull of bees he offered me.
And judging by the anticipated anwers to his last question, I'd guess he opened a whole can of them...?

Oh cripes!! I forgot all about you Murray! :O

Woops! Clean up that puddle in the corner then you can go. :-)

Bring it on then, Mr BB just *loves* people telling tales! :D

Yep, but don't forget to clean up that puddle first...... ;-)

199750 2003-12-13 09:41:00 It's ironical, after all this talk about bees, I was outside removing a dead frond from one of my Mamaku tree ferns this afternoon and got stung on the top of my head by something. :(

I think it was a very small bee, but may have been a wasp. It was too dangerous to hang about as they were coming and going in an area near the house and would buzz me if I approached too closely. From what I did see they were quite small like a miniature version of a normal honey bee.

Anyway, hopefully they are no more, as after dark I gave them the petrol sniffing treatment with saturated newspaper stuffed in and around the hole they had been flying into.

I didn't like doing that, but I didn't like getting stung on the head either. :)

Hmmm, Photo, it's dark now, maybe could still do it, wonder where the matches are? :^O

godfather is more likely to tut-tut over what I did to the poor things. :(
