200027 2003-12-15 22:26:00 Well, that would go to show that they are part of the same company. I think they must run rather independantly because they're in direct competition with each other at times and selling very different brands. -=JM=- (16)

Talk about disinformation at its finist. I know a guy who finished his house using power tools from the WH lol. It's like any store shop around, get an idea of whats good value, compare brands, talk to other folk who use their goods. The WH is getting better brand goods in store every year btw. Nice to see they are selling PCs, even it they are Dell.

Well said, and I totally agree . Especially with Dell PC's being of such high quality (Admittedly the specs arent anything more than entry-level on this one)!

200032 2003-12-17 05:29:00 Guys Guys Guys... and gals

You are looking at this the wrong way. Companies like the likes of Dell, are not concerned where their products go as long as they are selling them. The warehouse are stocking them, which means, they have possibly bought quite a few and the price is cheaper than what Dell normally sells them for. If it doesn't go too well for The Warehouse, guess what, they won't bring in any more Dell computers, but would Dell care? They probably thought they'd never tap into The Warehouse. I'm sure there's more to the story, maybe Dell have agreed on building their POS machines, etc...

To tell you the truth, I've been annoyed with warehouse staff who don't know their products, they have missed a huge amount of sales from this. Another thing was I was in there not so long ago, and two ladies asked to have a look at a microwave, in the box, so the two staff opened the box and then started shaking it frantically till the microwave dropped on the hard ground. After that the ladies just walked out not saying a thing.

I wouldn't care if someone charged more on a product, as long as he could confidently explain what he's talking about for that product. I mean I could just go to that go, ask him about the product and leave and get it from the warehouse, why? Because it's cheaper and I just got free consultation from that guy, but I'm not like that. I pay for service.

I'm going into the warehouse to play a trick on someone, I've already got enough information on the Dell computer to quiz anyone about it. I hope they have someone who knows their stuff, or do they just put those computers on a shelf and hope people will pick them up?

200033 2003-12-17 06:18:00 My mother worked at warehouse stationary for a bit,Knows nothing about computers.Infact her knowledge would be in the negatives, and they had her selling them.

She was refused any training and told to read off the display card if customers asked any questions.

Any custemers who came back after spending there coin with any queriers were told it wasn't their problem.

My mum quit a couple months after last christmas due to abuse from people who had bought computers and were a little agrivated about the situation they had found themselves in.

Having said that, ive had outragous lies told to me by workers in every computer store ive ever made queries at.Ive been asked to leave Noel leemings and have been told not to go back into Dick Smith.

200035 2003-12-17 08:36:00 I still think Super Market shouldn't sell Scanner, DVD players, TV, BBQs ... SKT174 (1319)
200036 2003-12-17 09:19:00 i went to the warehouse today to look at these, and apparently they have sold out of stock and are taking rainchecks as it would be either last 2-3 days of 2003 or first week of 2004 when more stock comes in so seems like its popular... csinclair83 (200)
