199804 2003-12-12 09:14:00 As an XP user at work and a win98 user at home I am wondering if there is anyway of viewing my Win98 picture file icons as actual thumbnails of the picture it is representing. Simplified - I want the icons in Win98 to look like the pictures instead of the silly little standard icon.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Brett.

199805 2003-12-12 21:02:00 I don't use Win98, but a quick google suggests that it has this option:

Here's how you do it in Win 98:

1. In Windows Explorer, right click on any closed folder
2. Select Properties
3. Click the "Enable Thumbnail View" box then hit OK
4. Open the folder in Windows Explorer, click on the View menu and choose "Thumbnails"
5. You should see the thumbnail pictures
6. To view the files in a different way, select another option from the View menu.
