200318 2003-12-14 06:14:00 Hi,

I'm on Jetstart, with speed 128kb/s and a 5gig download limit per month. I pay $34.95 for this per month.
I think however that 5gig isn't enough, I do a lot of downloading you see.
So, i was wondering if there are any other isp's which offer a higher download limit but don't exceed $34.95 by too much.

Thanks for any tips/advice

200319 2003-12-14 07:00:00 Are you with Xtra at the moment? If you do a search of the ISP's you will find most will offer a 10G international allowance and free national traffic for the same (or even less) price you are currently paying. Jen C (20)
200320 2003-12-14 07:58:00 ummm... woosh offers $64 a month for unlimited a month but wont be happy if you go over 15gb. plus you will have to get another modem. clear offers for $99 a month unlimited and wont pester you for your usage. but your plan is the cheapest ive seen so far(jetstream's cheapest is $50 for 0.5 gb 256kbitps) Megaman (344)

Quicksilver offers a 10 GB download limit per month for $34.95 per month (all most the same as what you are paying now )(+ $29.95 TELECOM Charge per month)

That is JetStart( JetStreem starter), with 128kb/s speed)

- 10 GB limit International

- Unlimited National Traffic

Hope this helps

200322 2003-12-14 08:37:00 Yes, I'm with XTRA, the customer service is quite terrific but as I mentioned earlier, I'd like to have a bigger download limit. Iv'e read somewhere that an ISP by the name of Ocron or something offers a deal of $39.95/month and a 15gig dl limit. Does anyone here have that subscription? sounds too good to be true when that whoosh ISP charges $64.95 for 15gig, well at least, that's the max they would like you to download so I understand.
Is that Ocron deal 15gig of international traffic, or national aswell??

200323 2003-12-14 08:48:00 You can find the details on Orcon's prices/deals here (www.orcon.net.nz)

I noticed from your profile location that you are from Wellington. Have you considered the Paraside-TelstraClear cable deal?

Paradise High Speed Internet (www.telstraclear.co.nz). This is available only in Wellington and Christchurch and then it is still limited to certain areas. Have a look on this map (www.telstraclear.co.nz) and see whether you are included.

200324 2003-12-14 12:30:00 Jetstart via Paradise as the ISP has a 10GB limit for comparable cost to the Xtra plan. For this plan you don't need to be in the Saturn/Telstra cable locations, you just hook it up to the same Telecom Ph line you have now.
