200161 2003-12-13 10:00:00 I have a Toshiba Laptop and would like to turn off the password prompt that occurs when I turn it on.
I can access the bios and find the password field.
It says "registered"
How do I tell it "no password", the only command hints I am given are to use space bar, esc, enter etc (for various tasks) but none of these specifically turns the password field to "off'
Any ideas?

200162 2003-12-13 10:13:00 Um i think you have to disconnect your Bios battery, or something like that, but opening up your laptop is a bit dodgy, well so ive heard, but maybe someone else will have info on what to do in more detail. hazza (2704)
200163 2003-12-13 11:37:00 Simply unregister it ie to change the exsisting password you type in the curent password then it is unregistered or no password requiried beama (111)
