200116 2003-12-13 06:48:00 With Video Cards, it is best to remove all existing ones - just use Win default - before installing new ones.

200118 2003-12-15 08:43:00 Yes, but you said you have installed newer drivers didn't you? You need to uninstall the old ones first or you can get problems. Try uninstalling all of the video drivers and reinstalling the new ones you downloaded. Susan B (19)

200121 2003-12-15 22:25:00 Was your card working at 8x AGP? I would have tested 4x and if it worked, it's probably a problem with the AGP drivers. Find out the chipset for the AGP and install the updates. If it's VIA then latest doesn't mean it's the greatest, some people try different version of those drivers to get it working and it doesn't seem to be computer specific but whatever works really. 200122 2003-12-15 22:30:00 I would suggest you install DirectX 9.0b (Open up Internet Explorer, click Tools and goto Windows Update. It'll be in the "Windows XP Recommended" updates) first, then try updating your drivers.

I'd recommend you open up the device manager and remove your graphics card entirely and reboot, only hit F8 as it's starting up and get into Safe Mode.

From there, install the new driver set!

You may also want to run an md5 summer over the download and make sure it matches, that could also be causing problems (Corrupt download).

Chill.
