Your analogy fails to hold water. TV Guide do not provide the content of television, only the listings of what going on. A more accurate analogy would be "writing to the TV guide if you were getting bad reception" Bad analogies hurt everyone equally, please be careful when wielding them around, we don't want any injuries. As it is, the hardware is there, the know-how should be there (one hopes) to make things better. Hell I set up a PHPBB on a P-200MMX w/ 32 MB RAM with a MySQL back-end, avatars, private messaging, editable posts, theming, the works. This was all done in the thick end of a coupla hours from placing the Linux cd in the drive to posting the first post. A little time and effort can create a beautiful thing.	whiskeytangofoxtrot (438)

Sure every once and a while it does take a while to load, so what, come back in ten and try again, I dont think time is an issue for most people here as a lot of the posts are made at night and some well into the wee smalls. So I would ask that some of you guys get off the backs of the pf1 chiefs and have a think about what they do for us(for FREE!!!!!). Anyway enough bitching, thanks for reading mik	miknz (3731)

200382	2003-12-29 18:26:00	If I had a gun, I'd shoot you. Anyway, yes, PF1 is pretty much as slow as they come. Spent over half an hour yesterday trying to get in. You try and tell them about it, buts it's like a conversation between a Russian coal miner and a South African apple farmer. They really just don't care. If they don't do something soon, I'll do something about it... that is, if I can be bothered.	Jaguar (4442)

LOL The forum clock is about 12 minutes fast for me these days. :D I doubt it is the cause of people not being able to log in because it has been like that for quite a while though at different stages of advancement. :-)	Susan B (19)

200387	2003-12-31 12:18:00	Actually . . . . I ALWAYS find PF1 painfully slow . I'd be a regular but it peaves me off so often I just can't hang around for long . When it's at it's best it's pathetically slow, when at it's worst it's just impossible . I'm only on dialup yeah, but NO other forum I've encountered has taken even half the time to load . I like the idea of the site, I like the people, but the actual set up here is just too annoying to keep my interest! I hope there are changes to come, I think site use would increase dramatically if Press F1 was quicker & a bit more user friendly .	Bobble (3142)
