2003-12-15 06:17:00 | I must have blinked. I used to use WinMX and it was pretty good, but I have been looking for a couple things lately and it is abysmal. What have I missed? What do people use now? I feel very old and out of date. robo.

2003-12-15 06:23:00 | Try Emule (http://www.emule-project.net/), you won't be dissapointed. The first time you connect it will take a while, because there are not many preconfigured servers. Once connected though it should automatically download a new server list. | b1naryb0y (3) | |
2003-12-15 07:19:00 | Any word on the spyware with, 'Emule'? Coz I think with a lot of these filesharing apps they also comes with spyware free of charge too.

2003-12-15 07:27:00 | Oh, great. Well, I've got e-bloody-mule now. It doesn't seem much better to be honest, perhaps slightly worse. Oh, I do wish for the good old days of Napster again. robo.

2003-12-15 07:32:00 | Your success with emule depends highly on the server you are connected to. On the server list find a server that contains lots of files ( you can sort them from highest to lowest ) then right click and select "connect to selected server". The server I'm connected to at the mo has 222440 users and 19431925 files.

2003-12-15 07:34:00 | Well Robo, I hear they have been using pigeons up (or down) Waitomo way. Apparently the the little critters are quicker than the local internet for delivering images. They stick a memory card on the pigeons back using a velcro harness and send them of for processing. So you ain't that old after all. As they say the more things change the more they remain the same and, at the rate our telcos are going we'll be going for Sunday visits on the horse and trap to catch up with the local goss before too long to. Cheers Murray P PS. Keep an eye out for the DIA while you're downloading ;).

2003-12-15 08:42:00 | Why not Kazaa-Lite? Seems to do all I want, I've never downloaded an infected file not had spyware issues with it . I am sure it was on a PC World disc not so long ago or get it from the various sites out there still hosting the set up file . J :D

2003-12-15 10:08:00 | I so wish Kazaa (Lite++) would become more mainstream - I so often get customers needing to send me large files that are really a hassle to send/receive via email. Anyway Rob, if there's something specific I can get for you, just drop me a line
