| 201156 | 2003-12-17 02:19:00 | Hi All Running WindowsME..... By using the DOS attrib *.* -h the folder C:/_RESTORE/TEMP is now made visible inside my Computer | Explore. I have nearly 4GB of *.CPY files. They date from early 2000 to late 2003. some are even 1988/1999. Some I can view using a 'notepad' prog, and contain things like mIRC settings from long ago, my HP Laser settings and others with other printer or (pegasus) email settings etc, others unreadible (uninteligible). What are these .CPY files? Can i at least move them to my recycle bin before deleting? Cheers Chris I guess i could move them to a C:/CPYTEMP folder using the DOS move? |

(Note: you will loss all of your system restore points if you do this!) . . . if you right/left click on "my computer" on the desktop then click on the "performance" tab then click on the " file system" button at the bottom of the window then click on "troubleshooting" tab then tick the check bock" disable system restore . Then restart your computer then do the same steps as above to re enable system restore (which you should do!) Hope this helps |
