| 201722 | 2003-12-19 05:17:00 | recently i downloaded the latest version of AVG virus scanner and installed it on my windows xp computer. the install went perfect and then when i restarted my pc and logged on it just turned my computer off and restarted it. it carried on doing this until i went into safe mode and removed AVG then there were no problems. what could i do to fix it and use the software? any one else had this? thanks |

Go to Windows Key+Pause to bring up System Properties box, click on Advanced Tab>Startup and Recovery Settings and remove tick from "Automatically restart" . Ticks should be in the two boxes above . You should now get an error message - copy it exactly and post it here for diagnosis . You could also download another copy of AVG and try installing that in case the first one was corrupt . |
