| 201423 | 2003-12-18 06:53:00 | Xp can see 98 host and vice versa, in fact every things fine (maybe, ICS this weekend :D). I have only one thing I would like to happen, The 98 host auto logins to the network on startup. I cant seem to get this to happen, Tweakui for 98 works fine on the windows login but not the microsoft network client. I have paid a visit to the registry and yes the machine still boots up. Does anyone know how to do this ? |

Do you have the Win 98 box as the Host? Why is this? Wouldn't it be better as the client? Are you saying that you want the Win 98 box to automatically logon to the network when in Microsoft's network client because it doesn't at the moment? |

| 201428 | 2003-12-22 23:29:00 | it SOUNDS like you want the Clients for Microsoft Network logon to show up. If thats the case go into tweakui and goto Logon and untick logon automatically, because that does it for CFMN as well.. |

When I am at home I need the use and share the Internet connection with the family I what the 98 box to auto-login into the peer to peer network (using cross over cable)without prompting for username and password, which is set in tweakui as auto-logon BUT is not doing so using the microsoft networking client. The auto-logon feature of tweakui will work on the windows login but that does not give network connectivity, The reason I what auto-logon to the network is to make it seamless for the family mrbeef not quite i donot what any microsoft clint to show but I do what the microsoft network client to autologin using the details i have supplied in tweakui. IT IS NOT DOING THIS thanks for the help given so far Merry Xmas to all |
