| 201430 | 2003-12-18 06:31:00 | Several times now I have reset my homepage to a null page I have on file (for quick opening, and several times it has reverted to Fast Search <fastsearch.cc . How did it do this and how can I stop it? I have never used Fast Search and I have a firewall. | hugh7777 (2495) | ||
| 201431 | 2003-12-18 06:37:00 | Download and use Spybot Search & Destroy (www.safer-networking.org). It will clean out any browser hijackers. It also has an option to "immunise" your browser so that it cannot be hijacked again. | Jen C (20) | ||
| 201432 | 2003-12-18 06:45:00 | Others to try, SpywareBlaster (www.javacoolsoftware.com) and CWShredder (www.spychecker.com) (which has numerous variants.) Another HijackThis (www.spychecker.com) scans and reports ALL (hijacked and valid) settings. Just tick the ones that mention your hijackers name. |
