| 202097 | 2003-12-22 04:36:00 | Hi I run WIN XP and Office XP (Excel 2002) For some reason I have started to get a message which says "unable to read file" However after clicking this "ok" buton TWICE, the file opens fine. I have tried a "detect and Repair" to no avail. Also the run command "excel /unregserver", followed by the re-registration of Excel The problem occurs whether opening a blank sheet from Excel or a file from Windows Explorer Can anyone help please TIA Ron |

| 202098 | 2003-12-22 05:21:00 | Hi Ron, there are a few reasons why this error could occur. Try this one first (support.microsoft.com) and if no joy here is a query on MSKB of others (support.microsoft.com). hth |
