| 201917 | 2003-12-20 08:29:00 | I have photoshop on Win XP home and Pent 2 450 Mhz. All worked well, then, I think, I downloaded Windows media 9 player. After that Photoshop hangs when I try to open a new file or printer preview. System restore did not help. Any ideas? How about accessing Ph.shop in registry? Taly | Taly (4598) | ||
| 201918 | 2003-12-20 11:22:00 | I've stayed away from media player myself but, I don't think its that easy to roll it back. Try a search for uninstalling it. How much ram have you got, Photoshop can be pretty hungry. If you leave it will the files eventually load or is jammed up tight? i've found with big graphics sometimes windows reackons the program is not responding but its just taking it's time. Have a look in the elements help for memory issues. You may need to adjust how much memory Elements uses and be carefull with what you have running at the same time. have a play with: In Elements, Edit > Preferences > Memeory & Image Cache or set up the scratch discs, Edit > Preferences > Plugins & Scratch discs if your ram is limited.
