201893 2003-12-20 05:11:00 i have seen on websites that you can get programs to boost the performance of your machine. are these any good and if so what are the best ones?

201894 2003-12-20 05:43:00 The best boost you can give your system is to look after it properly. Use disk defragmenter and disk cleanup regularly. Make sure you keep your antivirus up to date and use a program such as Ad-aware 6 or Spybot Search & Destroy to keep it clean of spyware. Don't download and install every piece of software you can find on the net - be selective :). You might want to use a registry cleaner (to cleanup all the left over files when you do uninstall programs.

201895 2003-12-20 06:09:00 What made me laugh a few months ago i had a computer brought in due to constant crashing,After giving it a complete tune-up it was running much faster but still crashing.

The culprit was a program made by macafee called Anti-crash.....
