| 201853 | 2003-12-20 01:41:00 | i have this Vuego 3300U Scanner for about 2 years and just one day it as i was going to scan a picture it said it cannot detect the scanner, so i checked the plug and it was pluged in and so i restarted my pc and it done the same thing, and then i unpluged it and pluged it in and it worked and scanned one picture and then it didnt go and it said it cannot detect a scanner. i brought it away to get fixed and it kept on doing the same thing. is there a solution? and does anyone have this type of scanner and has a problem with it? thanks Patrick |

| 201854 | 2003-12-20 03:50:00 | I have one of those Vuego/Acers but have had no problems at all with it. Suggest maybe a removal and re-install of the driver and software. | Pheonix (280) | ||
| 201855 | 2003-12-20 04:53:00 | Yes I've got one and have also had the same problems from time to time. I get a message which says "scanner cannot be found " but it is identified in Imaging Devices in Device Manager. It tells me to retry then I get another message saying "Can't open Twain source". I'm sure your problem is that the scanner can't find the driver. Like Phoenix says completely uninstall and reinstall but unlike other hardware try it with the scanner turned on while reinstalling . worth a go. You' will probably have to reboot also. | willbry (1555) | ||

| 201857 | 2003-12-20 09:57:00 | Patrickyou may already have done this but if not go to C.Panel- system then click Device Manager. does your Scanner's name appear when you scroll down and click on Imaging Devices. If Imaging Devices appears along with your scanner then your computer has recognised it. If it's there but there's a red cross through it or a yellow exclamation mark beside it, that's where your problem is. If there is no problem there then D.click on the scanner title itself and you should get a message in the box Device Status. If this is negative , click on the tab Driver and follow the instructions to update it. If all this brings no joy, the problem might be a faulty USB connection. Other than these areas I think the scanner itself might have an intermittent fault Best of luck. I know how frustrating this can be. | willbry (1555) | ||
