201821 2003-12-20 00:16:00 depends on what motherboard you got........... drcspy (146)
201822 2003-12-20 01:22:00 the motherboard is a commate - P4GA Patrick 2003 (277)
201823 2003-12-20 01:43:00 If it is a P4BGA the Commate (www.tcommate.com.tw) site states a maximum of 2.4Ghz processor. A good site to check out prices for computer bits and pieces is Pricespy (http://www.pricespy.co.nz)

201827 2003-12-20 05:35:00 To find out who is the manufacturer of your motherboard, download AIDA32 - Personal System Information (www.aida32.hu). This program will give you quite a bit of information on your system. Jen C (20)
201828 2003-12-20 05:50:00 The chances are good that it will take up to a P4 2400a or b model northwood or greater but not a certainty. The only reference I could find to your board was an Iwill mobo which doesn't help. Best option would be to take it to a reputable comp shop and get them to test out the options before you lay out any dollars. P4 2.4's retail about $300 to 380 depending where you get one. If your present chip is a willamette p4 then then you would probably notice the difference upgrading to a northwood 2.4. If it is a northwood 1.8 I wouldn't bother unless you are a hard core gamer.
By the way, where did you get a commate mobo from ? The only commate board I have ever seen in NZ was in a dick smith mini micro all in one box they were selling earlier this year

This program might help determinie what your chipset amd cpu are
download the personal system at

www.aida32.hu
